MARK PAYNE

Mark works in Research and Development at Spot On Sciences.  He has over 20 years of experience in R&D with a focus on the execution of innovative early-stage technologies. 

Over his career, he has worked on diverse technologies such as the Space Shuttle, Standard Missile, radiofrequency ablation, active implantable medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics.

Mark has over 15 US and international patents and has published 15 technical papers and articles.

Mark received his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Controls and Robotics from Stanford University where he also completed the Bio-design Innovation Sequence.

He enjoys hiking and skiing with his family and dog.  Some of his favorite hikes have been the Camino de Santiago, Ben Nevis, Mount Shasta and the Devil’s Path.
