Founded in 2010, Spot On Sciences is a life science company offering proprietary medical devices for biospecimen sampling. Our innovative and patented HemaSpot™ devices transform the collection, storage, and transport of blood by advancing the dried blood spot (DBS) technology. We enable more precise and individualized healthcare by providing the tools for practitioners and patients to do in-the-field biospecimen collection, and specimen testing. Our Company is positioned to be the market leader and standard of care for all biospecimen collection, storage, and transport.
A History of
Inspiration
2010
Inspired to provide better healthcare to her elderly, home-bound, rural mother, Jeanette Hill created the HemaSpot device in order to take remote, clinical quality blood samples. Addressing the long standing Hematocrit problem associated with DBS, HemaSpot’s innovative paper quality dramatically reduces this concern, and opens the door to new opportunities and applications.
